Free Summer Playground Activities Start in Rauma on 1 June 2026 – Registration Open Until 25 May

The City of Rauma will offer guided summer playground activities from 1 June to 26 June 2026. The activities are free of charge and intended for children aged 4–9.
During the summer, families with children of all ages can also take part in family parks Kipparinpuisto and Sinilintu and the traffic park. No advance registration is needed for these activities. Kipparinpuisto and the traffic park are open on weekdays throughout the summer.
Registration for the summer playground groups is done in advance by phone at +358 44 403 6085. The registration period is 1–25 May 2026. After the registration period, you can ask about available places by phone at +358 44 793 4579.
Children aged 3 can also be accepted if there are free places after the registration period.
– Children should have their own snacks, a sitting mat, and weather‑appropriate clothing. Activities will not be arranged in heavy rain, says Kirsi‑Marja Hyppölä, Kindergarten Director.
Schedules and Locations of the Summer Playgrounds
Playground activities are organised Monday to Friday from 9 am to 1 pm. The daily programme includes guided games and activities, summer fun, and supervised free play.
Activities are organised in the yards of Kodisjoki Parish Hall, Lappi after-school club, Unaja School, and Kaaro Parish Hall.
In addition, Poijukerho is organised at Kipparinpuisto for children aged 4–8 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 pm to 4 pm. Children can attend without an adult. Registration for Poijukerho is done in advance by phone at +358 44 793 5145.
Family Parks for Families with Young Children
The family parks at Kipparinpuisto and Sinilintu offer fun and active summer activities and music sessions for families. No advance registration is needed.
Sinilintu family park is open 1–18 June 2026 on weekdays from 9 am to 1 pm. Kipparinpuisto family park is open 1 June – 7 August 2026 on weekdays from 9 am to 1 pm.
Traffic Park Open All Summer
The traffic park is open on weekdays from 1 June to 7 August 2026:
- Monday and Wednesday: 10 am to 5 pm
- Tuesday and Thursday: 11 am to 6 pm
- Friday: 10 am to 4 pm
During Midsummer week, the traffic park will close exceptionally on Thursday 18 June at 4 pm and will be closed from 19 to 21 June.
At the traffic park, children under 10 years of age can practise traffic rules using bicycles and pedal cars. Children under 6 years must be accompanied by a guardian. The park is closed in rainy weather.
No registration is needed for the traffic park. Cycling and pedal cars are free of charge. Driving the mini cars costs 1 euro for five minutes. Children may also ride their own bicycles in the park, including outside opening hours. Wearing a helmet is mandatory.
Bicycles and pedal cars are not used at the same time as mini cars. Driving times for mini cars are shown on the notice board at the traffic park.
Ten-ride cards and single rides for mini cars can be purchased from the City of Rauma’s online shop at verkkokauppa.rauma.fi. Cash payments are not accepted at the traffic park.
