Parking fine on car.

Starting Monday, April 20, 2026, the City of Rauma’s Parking Enforcement Unit will send payment demands for parking tickets via the Suomi.fi Messages service. This change is based on a nationwide legislative reform: as of April 14, 2026, official correspondence will primarily be delivered digitally.

If a parking ticket is not paid by the due date, a payment demand will be issued. A payment demand is also sent if the ticket has been paid only after the due date.

– In the future, payment demands will primarily be sent via the Suomi.fi Messages service. If a customer has not activated the digital messaging service, the payment demand will still be sent by regular mail, says Office Secretary Katri Holmala.

The amount of the ticket is €50 in Rauma, and the payment period is 30 days. The due date and payment instructions are stated on the paper parking ticket placed on the vehicle.

The payment demands amounts are:

  • €64 if the original ticket has not been paid at all
  • €14 if the original ticket has been paid after the due date
