Three girls on a bus stop

Rauma Gyyt’s winter season timetables will come into effect on Monday, 10 August 2026. The new timetables will remain valid until 5 June 2027. At the same time, several changes based on customer feedback will be introduced to the public transport network.

– The changes may also affect the timetables of familiar services, so passengers are encouraged to check their route, departure times and operating days before travelling, says public transport planner Mikael Saive.

The most significant changes include improved accessibility to Kairakatu, earlier starts to services on the main routes, and adjustments to accommodate changes in the school network. Due to low passenger numbers, Gyyt’s Sunday services will not operate during the winter season. Saturday services will continue on routes 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5/5S according to the published timetables.

New Connections and Earlier Departures for Commuters

The first weekday morning departures on the main routes will be moved earlier during the winter season to better serve commuting needs. From Merirauma, Kourujärvi, Monna, Uusilahti, Sorkka and Kortela, passengers will be able to reach Savila at approximately 6:15 a.m.

Based on customer feedback, route changes have also been made to route 5, which operates between Savila and Uotila. During the winter season, route 5 will run via Kairakatu, Piipurintie and Metallintie. The route will serve Kairakatu on weekdays in both directions approximately once an hour.

– The autumn changes have been designed to better meet everyday mobility needs. Earlier departures will particularly improve public transport options for those who start their workday early, Saive adds.

From Savila, passengers can continue their journey on foot, by transfer connection or by another Gyyt route to different parts of the city. Route 5S complements route 5 by providing connections from Savila to healthcare services.

Changes in the School Network Reflected in Public Transport Services

Changes to the school network taking effect this autumn will particularly affect services in the Vasarainen, Kodisjoki, Uotila and Unaja areas. The routes and timetables of lines 58, 59, 80 and 80K have been adjusted to match school start and end times.

The changes will provide connections, among others, from Vasarainen to Uotila School and from Kodisjoki to Unaja School. School-day services will operate on school days in Rauma’s comprehensive schools. During school holidays, some services will not operate or will run according to different timetables.

Other changes include route 2 operating via the Kari Campus as part of the city transport network, as well as the consolidation of Gyyt and Seutu+ services to the Lappi area into a single timetable publication for improved clarity.

Timetables, route maps and current service updates are available on the City of Rauma’s public transport webpages and in the Seutu+ Journey Planner.
