Closed Section of Tehtaankatu Will Reopen to Traffic on 12 May 2026 – Road Users Are Asked to Be Cautious

The section of road between Tehtaankatu and Nortamonkatu, which has been closed for a long time, will reopen to traffic on Tuesday, 12 May 2026. The reopened section is located at the intersection near the Hesburger restaurant.
Road users are asked to pay attention to the changing traffic arrangements on Tehtaankatu.
– The street section has been closed for several years, and people in the area have become used to different traffic arrangements. Therefore, we ask road users to be especially cautious from Tuesday onwards, says Jari Salminen, Head of Street Maintenance.
Renovation work has been carried out on the closed section of Tehtaankatu, including resurfacing the road and updating traffic signs.
