Rauma Adult Education Center will offer approximately 210 new courses and lectures in spring 2026. In addition, several courses that started in the fall will continue into the spring semester. Registration for new courses opens on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 9 a.m. You can register online at opistopalvelut.fi/rauma, by phone at 044 793 4515, or in person at the college office on the Karin campus, Aittakarinkatu 10. Most courses begin on Monday, January 12, 2026.

– Registration opens in December for new courses planned for the spring, so that everyone has an equal opportunity to participate, explains Vice Principal Emmi Lainio.

Lainio also reminds participants that you can register immediately for courses listed in the fall study guide if places are available. For inquiries about available spots or course recommendations, contact the college office.

The spring program is diverse and includes new courses such as photography management, wardrobe organization, an intensive Spanish refresher, beginners’ choir, circus and acrobatics, creative writing, the use of artificial intelligence in art design, knitting, high-intensity interval training as a distance course, color psychology in clothing, Ayurvedic pressure massage, and greenhouse cultivation for home gardens. Lectures will cover topics including modern architecture in Rauma, the visual art of Hj. Nortamo and Kvartetti, the history of Rauma’s parks, and the role of warships in Finland’s independence.

– The academic year culminates in the Karin Campus Spring Event on Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Lainio adds.
