The City of Rauma offers a variety of summer job opportunities for enthusiastic and active young people. In addition to summer jobs, the city enables employment through the youth summer job voucher and the summer entrepreneurship program.
Summer workweeks for young people
The City of Rauma Youth Services is hiring 100 young people from Rauma for summer work weeks. The job requires applicants to be aged between 14 and 17, to be 14 years old during the current year and to be from Rauma. Preference will be given to young people with no previous work experience.
The summer working week lasts between four and five days, with a total of 20 hours and a premium of €100.
When you apply, you can indicate whether you would prefer to work either with children or on various maintenance tasks (including green services and cleaning tasks). Wherever possible, we will endeavour to fulfil your wishes.
Nyberg’s summer job
Nyberg’s summer jobs are for young people who need a summer job for social, economic or educational reasons. The age requirement is 14–17 years, the applicant must be 14 years old during the current year and the home town must be Rauma.
The work will take place in June. The duration is between one and four weeks and the average working day is four hours long. Depending on the length of the work period, the remuneration varies between €100 and €400. At the application stage, the young person can express a preference for the length of the summer job. The jobs will be located in different areas of the city, such as nurseries and cleaning services.
In addition to the summer job application, a social reference is required. This can be done by a curator, social counsellor, social worker, support worker or other social professional via the online form available from them. Summer jobs are filled in the order in which applications are received. Places are limited.

Summer job support
Young people from Rauma can apply for summer job voucher for a summer work or self-employment. The total value of the summer job voucher is 480 euros.
In the Summer Entrepreneurship program, a young person starts a business for the summer. The business can be started alone or together with a friend. The goal is to help young people in the area to employ themselves during the summer in the form of entrepreneurship.
