Boat Berths and Harbor Services for Locals

The city’s harbors provide boat berths for local residents. Depending on the harbor, harbor services may include waste management, fuel distribution, a café, toilets, a landing stage and a septic tank.

How to Book a Berth

Booking periods for boat places are:

  • General booking period: 2 April 2025 from 10.00 to 31 December 2025 at 16.00, land places: 2 April to 31 December 2025
  • Re-booking period: provisionally from 10 February to 2 April 2025 until 10.00, land places: 10 February to 26 April 2025.

The price of a berth is determined by the width of the berth. Boat mooring is with boom or buoy. Pier 15 at Syvärauma and pier 7 at Kouluranta have a different price than the other berths, due to the equipment of the berths.

Renewal of Berth Booking

It is possible to rebook an old berth during the rebooking period by paying the berth fee by the stated deadline. The provisional payment will be made from 10 February 2025.

An e-mail reminder will be sent at the beginning of the year (if an e-mail has been indicated on the booking). No separate invoice will be sent for the boat place, but the rental right can only be renewed annually by paying the boat place fee by the due date.

If the boat berth contract has not been renewed, the berth will become available for general booking on Wednesday 2 April 2025 at 10 a.m.

An effort has been made to group boats of similar size side by side. Therefore, when booking a boat place, care must be taken not to rent too small a place for a large boat or too large a place for a small boat. It is the responsibility of the boat owner to ensure that the space allocated is suitable for his boat in terms of draught, width and length.

If the boat information proves to be incorrect, the town council has the right to change the boat’s berth and fee category to match the size of the boat.

An additional €10 gate fee will be added to Syvärauma docks 1–7 at Kouluranta.

Use of Electrical Outlets

The boat docks 1–6 (Kouluranta) and 9–14 (etelä, Suvitie) in the deep water area are equipped with lighting poles, each of which also has two electrical outlets.

The electrical outlets can be used by the mooring holder if necessary, but are not intended for continuous use, there is no extra charge for the electrical outlets , and there are no sockets for all moorings.

The Septic emptying tank at the Syvärauma distribution station is used in autumn until the frosts set in.

Gates, Security and Camera Surveillance

Berths 1–7 at the Syvärauma Kouluranta pier and the Sjölund pier are closed with a locked gate. Customers who have booked a berth at this pier can collect the key to the gate from Service Point Pyyrman. The key is only valid for the gate of the pier in question.

The deposit for the key is €50. When the key is returned, the deposit is refunded to the customer.

Recording camera surveillance is in use at the harbors of Syvärauma, Rokki, Mustalahti and Mantereenpää.

The boat docks are not guarded by the city.

In addition, there are guest berths at the marinas Kylmäpihlaja, Reksaari, Kuuskajaskari and Pihlus.
