The summer season and the Midsummer holiday will bring some changes to the opening hours of City of Rauma services and service points. Midsummer will be celebrated on 19–20 June 2026.

The customer service desk and telephone exchange at Rauma City Hall will be closed from 6 to 26 July. During this period, Pyyrman will serve as the reception point for the City’s documents, excluding documents related to employment services.

Service Point Pyyrman

Service Point Pyyrman will operate normally throughout the summer on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 9:00–16:00, Tuesdays 9:00–17:00, and Fridays 9:00–15:00. Pyyrman will be closed on Midsummer Eve, Friday 19 June.

Real Estate Management Office

The real estate management office will be open from 1 June to 31 July on weekdays from 9:00–11:00 and 12:00–14:00.

From 13–24 July, services will be available by appointment only. The office will be closed on Midsummer Eve, Friday 19 June.

Libraries

The Main Library will be closed on Saturdays during the summer. Pyynpää and Kourujärvi libraries are open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 13:00–19:00, and Wednesdays and Fridays 10:00–16:00.

The Uotila self-service library and Lappi library will operate normally throughout the summer.

The library bus will run its summer routes from 1–30 June and 3–11 August. It will not operate in July.

Opening hours on 19–21 June:

Museums

City of Rauma museum sites are open from 2 June to 31 August, Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00–17:00. The Potter’s Workshop is open daily from 1–30 July, 11:00–15:00.

Exceptions:

  • During Midsummer: open 18 June 10:00–16:00, closed 19–21 June
  • On Finnish Visual Arts Day, 10 July: open 10:00–18:00, free admission
  • During Lace Week (18–26 July 2026): open Monday 20 July 10:00–17:00 and on Friday 24 July 10:00–19:00
  • Kodisjoki Blacksmith’s Home is open 4–5 July and 11–12 July 12:00–16:00, and during Lace Week 18–26 July 12:00–16:00

Youth Facilities

Youth centres Kuovi and Viklo are closed for the summer and will reopen in September.

Youth centre Kuovi will be open for a special summer drop-in session on Wednesday 17 June from 17:00–20:00.

The mobile youth work vehicle Tauno will operate throughout the summer on Fridays and Saturdays from 17:00–22:00. Tauno can be reached at +358 44 403 6153 or on Instagram @nuortenrauma. Tauno will not operate during Midsummer (19–20 June) or on 24–25 July during Lace Week.

Public Transport

Rauma Gyyt will operate with exceptions as follows:

  • 19 June (Midsummer Eve): Saturday timetables until approximately 14:00
  • 20 June (Midsummer Day): no services
  • 20–25 July (Lace Week): special routes
  • 24 July (Lace Week Friday): services until midnight

Waste Management

The Hevossuo waste treatment centre is open normally throughout the summer, Monday to Friday 7:00–18:00. The station is closed on public holidays and on Midsummer Eve, 19 June.

Rauma Water

Rauma Water’s billing customer service phone line is available in summer from Monday to Thursday 8:00–15:30, and Fridays 8:00–15:00.

The service is open on June 18 from 8:00–12:00, and closed on June 19.

Swimming Hall

The swimming hall is closed for the summer from 1 June to 9 August.

Employment Services

The Aittakarinkatu office will operate throughout the summer, with reception open Monday to Friday 12:00–15:00. The City Hall service point (Kanalinranta 3) is open by appointment only.

The Aittakarinkatu office and information line will close on Thursday 18 June at 15:00.

Building Supervision

Building supervision operates normally. When the entrance door is closed, please call +358 44 403 6104. Customers with appointments will be met at the door.
