- If the customer does not use the waste container in accordance with the current waste management regulations of the city of Rauma, the waste disposal service has the right to collect the transportation fee twice
- *Starting transportation distance 10m = If the distance between the waste truck and the container exceeds 10 metres, an extra fee will be charged for every starting 10 metres.
- *Loose dust/ash = Dust or ash should be packed so that it does not leak into the environment when the waste container is emptied. If the dust/ash does leak, a fee will be charged.

Waste disposal fee
Mixed waste container
The mixed waste container emptying fee consists of a handling and transport fee.
The handling fee includes the transfer loading of mixed waste at the Hevossuo waste station and processing into heat and electricity at the Korvenmäki ecopower plant in Salo.
The transport fee includes emptying the waste container and transporting the waste first to the Hevossuo waste station and from there to the Korvenmäki ecopower plant in Salo.
In Rauma, the transport fee also includes an ecofee.
Biowaste container
The biowaste container emptying fee consists of a handling and transport fee.
The handling fee includes the processing of biowaste at the Biolinja biogas plant in Uusikaupunki.
The transport fee includes emptying the waste container and transporting the waste to the Biolinja biogas plant.
Packaging waste container
The packaging waste container emptying fee only includes the transport fee, because packaging producers pay for the processing of waste.
The transport fee includes emptying the waste container and transporting the waste to the terminals of the packaging producers.
Container emptying is invoiced every three months.
The invoice is determined by the number of times the waste container is emptied and the size of the waste container. You can find the emptying fee for each waste container in the price list of the Rauma Waste Management. The amount of the invoice may also be affected by any additional waste or additional work caused to the driver, for example, by the long distance the waste container is being hauled.
The waste container emptying fee is also charged in cases where the container could not be emptied for reasons beyond the driver’s control. Such as a bad or too narrow road, a slippery or unplowed yard, a dog loose in the yard or other similar reason that prevents the driver from reaching the container.
If access to the container is prevented for reasons beyond the customer’s control, efforts will be made to arrange a replacement emptying as soon as possible.
In exceptional situations, prior to obtaining a waste invoice, the property owner can apply a moderate remission (periodic exemption from payment) or within 14 days after receiving the waste invoice, make a reminder for the waste fee.
Application for exception to waste fees
The waste management eco fee is a fee that covers waste management services and waste management authority activities that are free of charge for households at the time of service. Such services include:
- waste advice
- customer service
- establishment and maintenance of recycling points
- reception of hazardous waste (including pharmaceutical waste)
- administrative services such as maintenance of registers related to waste management
- activities of the waste management authority
- information and communications
In Rauma, the eco fee is included in the transport fee for mixed waste containers.
In Eurajoki, the eco fee is invoiced separately once a year based on property information from the beginning of April.
Not collecting the eco fee is only possible when the property is uninhabitable.
The regional waste points in the Eurajoki area are intended mainly for island cottage residents and for properties located along roads that cannot be reached by waste trucks. A property-specific annual fee is charged to properties using regional waste points. The fee is determined by the purpose of the property. The invoice is sent once a year to the person in whose possession the property is at the beginning of April.
In Rauma, holiday home owners who use waste containers on boat docks or from those using the waste management facility’s shared containers will be charged a summer waste management fee for waste management in accordance with the waste rate once a year.
The block collection fee is property-specific and is determined according to the number of people living in the property. The block collection fee is a monthly fee, invoiced in four installments per calendar year.
