Parents and Children Satisfied with Afternoon Activities
News

A satisfaction survey was conducted for the guardians of children participating in Rauma’s afternoon activities between November 17–30, 2025. A total of 125 guardians responded, covering approximately 29 percent of the children enrolled in the program. The afternoon activities received a rating of 4.5 on a scale of 1–5.
According to the survey responses, the strengths of the afternoon activities include the instructors’ professionalism, safety, and children’s enjoyment. Areas for improvement highlighted by guardians were facilities, yard activities, and the variety of snacks.
– We’ve already made good changes to future snack planning in cooperation with food and cleaning services. The facilities for afternoon activities will improve as new schools and dedicated spaces are completed, says Jutta Liiten, supervisor of the afternoon activities.
Afternoon club instructors also collected wishes and development ideas from the children themselves. Children come to the afternoon activities in good spirits and enjoy their time there.
Children’s wishes include more outdoor play, toy days, and craft sessions. Regarding snacks, they hope for more treat options.
– The responses and results will be utilized in planning and developing the activities. Children’s development ideas are also taken into account in every afternoon club group, especially when purchasing supplies and planning the content of activities, Liiten adds.
