Kirsti is a home museum dedicated to sailors and craftsmen. The museum showcases daily life in Old Rauma from the late 19th century to the 1970s. Kirsti’s main building is one of the oldest in Old Rauma. It was built as early as the 18th century. In the early 19th century, the entire city of Rauma looked much the same as Kirsti does today.

Kirsti is open only during the summer season, May 2–August 31.

Kirsti is known as a home museum of sailors and craftsmen.

Guided Tours and Groups

Guided tours are available at Kirsti during the summer season. The schedule for public tours can be found on the City of Rauma’s event calendar. You can also book a group visit to the site, which includes a guided tour.

Accessibility

Kirsti museum is not accessible. The courtyard can be accessed through a gate with assistance from either Pohjankatu or the Rauma River side. The courtyard is partly uneven and rocky. Several steps lead into Kirsti’s interior, and there are high thresholds between the rooms. Kirsti does not have accessible restroom facilities.
