Pinnala, the light pink main building of the Rauma Art Museum, is Rauma’s first privately owned stone building. It was built in 1795 and it’s courtyard is one of the best preserved in Old Rauma. Pinnala opened as an art museum in 1970, and has been part of the Rauma City Museum since 2019.

Collection exhibition, on display for the time being
The Heart of Pinnala
On the upper floor of the Rauma Art Museum, at the heart of Pinnala, we have collected the gems of the City of Rauma’s art collection. The exhibition presents 68 works from 68 artists.

Guided Tours and Groups
Public guided tours are held throughout the year. Information about the future guided tours can be found from Rauma’s event calendar.
Private tours for groups of various sizes can be arranged upon reservation during or after the art museum’s opening hours.
Museum Shop
Rauma Art Museum’s shop consists of a wide variety of amazing finds, such as art publications, postcards, posters and much more. The shop also sells products from local artists, artisans and designers, from magnets and decorative ceramics to jewellery and prints.
The museum shop can be visited during the museum’s opening hours.
Accessibility
The first-floor exhibition spaces are accessible. Entry through the courtyards wheelchair lift, with assistance from the art museum staff. There is a high step between the exhibition space and the front desk, that requires assisted passing. The art museum does not have accessible bathroom spaces.
The second-floor exhibition space is not accessible. The only access to the second floor is via stairs. The second-floor exhibition spreads out to multiple rooms that are separated by high thresholds and stairs.

Pinnala TALKS
Rauma Art Museum’s series of discussions that deal with current themes, topics and artists related to the visual arts and it’s history in Rauma and the surrounding area.
The discussion language is Finnish, unless otherwise stated. Participation by admission fee or Museum Card.
Rauma Triennale
Rauma Triennale is the second oldest continuously running international contemporary art exhibition in Finland. The roots of the exhibition come from Rauma Biennale Balticum, which ran from 1977 to 2016.
The next Rauma Triennale will be held in 2028.
