Pinnala, the light pink main building of the Rauma Art Museum, is Rauma’s first privately owned stone building. It was built in 1795 and it’s courtyard is one of the best preserved in Old Rauma. Pinnala opened as an art museum in 1970, and has been part of the Rauma City Museum since 2019.

Guided Tours and Groups

Private tours for groups of various sizes can be arranged upon reservation during or after the art museum’s opening hours.

Museum Shop

Rauma Art Museum’s shop consists of a wide variety of amazing finds, such as art publications, postcards, posters and much more. The shop also sells products from local artists, artisans and designers, from magnets and decorative ceramics to jewellery and prints.

The museum shop can be visited during the museum’s opening hours.

Accessibility

The first-floor exhibition spaces are accessible. Entry through the courtyards wheelchair lift, with assistance from the art museum staff. There is a high step between the exhibition space and the front desk, that requires assisted passing. The art museum does not have accessible bathroom spaces.

The second-floor exhibition space is not accessible. The only access to the second floor is via stairs. The second-floor exhibition spreads out to multiple rooms that are separated by high thresholds and stairs.

The Rauma Art Museum offers expert and information services to questions related to it’s own collections and archives, as well as the area’s artists and art history.
