Rauma Herring Market Affects Traffic Arrangements in the City Centre on 19–20 September 2026

The Rauma Herring Market will take place at Kanalinranta on 19–20 September 2026. The event will bring temporary changes to traffic arrangements in the area starting from 6 p.m. on Thursday, 17 September 2026.
Kanavakatu and Kanalinranta will be closed to traffic between Lyseokatu and Kalliokatu from 6 p.m. on Thursday, 17 September. Parking will also be prohibited in the area from the same time onwards. Property maintenance traffic will be permitted.
Driving from Alfredinkatu to Kaija will be prohibited from 8 a.m. on Friday, 18 September. Property maintenance traffic will be allowed, and customers of the theatre restaurant may access the area until 3 p.m.
The city train stop will operate in front of Rauma City Hall (Kanalinranta 3) on Saturday, 19 September 2026, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday, 20 September 2026, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The temporary traffic arrangements will remain in effect until 8 p.m. on Sunday, 20 September.
Visitors arriving at the market may park, for example, at the Tehtaankatu parking area, the 24-hour parking areas on Hallikatu and Savila, or the parking lot of Rauma City Hall. In addition, there are several time-restricted parking spaces throughout the city centre for short-term parking.
