The Finnish Defense Forces will dispose of wartime munitions found in dredged material by detonating them on Järviluoto Island on Monday, August 17, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
This operation poses no danger to areas outside Järviluoto. However, the noise from the detonation may be heard in nearby areas.
The Finnish Defense Forces also detonated wartime ammunition on Saturday, August 15.
