Rauma Regional Waste Management Facility

 

Rauman seudun jätehuoltolaitos (Rauma Regional Waste Management Facility) is a municipal company belonging to the city of Rauma. Our main task is to provide the reception, handling, utilization and disposal of municipal waste and to maintain the Hevossuo waste facility.

Waste management operations in Rauma are defined by the Waste Act and municipal waste management regulations. The regulations guides the waste management on the basis of sustainable development, reducing the amount of waste and goes as much as possible to reuse.

Waste sorting saves the environment and natural resources. Valuable materials are reused and the use of new materials is reduced.

Oblication to sort biowaste

According to 17 § of the waste ordinance, every residential property located in an urban area with at least 10 000 inhabitants must sort biowaste separately from July 19, 2024 at the latest. Your property is located in an area that is subject to the sorting oblication.
