On Thursday 22 July the Satakunta regional infectious disease prevention team informed that the region is back in the acceleration phase of the Covid-19 epidemic. The incidence rate in Rauma for July 7 to 20 is 30,7. The City of Rauma recommends that residents maintain the use of face masks, safe distances, and good hand hygiene.
Face masks should be used if avoiding close contacts is difficult or if indoor spaces have a lot of people. It is recommended also that customer services and workplace communities use masks. The recommendation is still in effect in public transportation and in healthcare facilities.
It is recommended that private events maintain precautions and gatherings should be held outside.
– As of late Rauma has had group exposures in indoor private gatherings. I strongly encourage having summertime events outdoors, doctor responsible for infectious diseases Katrimari Salmela says.
