In a decision made on 9 December the Regional State Administrative Agency for Southwest Finland forbade indoor public events and gatherings in Satakunta and Southwest Finland with more than 20 participants. The decision is in effect from 10th to 31st of December.

Operators can avoid the restrictions by implementing the use of the Covid-19 passport. Based on this, The City of Rauma will implement the use of the covid passport for all those functions where possible.

In addition the Regional State Administrative Agency requires that both spaces open to the public and spaces open only to a limited crowd must arrange operations in a way that close contacts can be prevented.

The decision based on section 58d of the Communicable Diseases Act on the conditions for the use of facilities open to the public applies to a wide variety of customer and public facilities. Regardless of attendance the decision applies all facilities and spaces used sports and leisure, such as gyms, indoor facilities, swimming halls, public saunas and dance places. Other facilities must adhere to the decision if attendance is over 10 people indoors or 50 people in limited outdoor spaces.

Covid passport will be introduced in the majority of the city’s services, in some public spaces and public events organized by the city. Indoor sports facilities, culture facilities and museums will introduce the passport.

The provision on the use of facilities also applies to, for example, the recreational activities of children and young people. However, the decision does not prevent hobbies, and the activity can be continued byimplementing health safety measures, for example by restricting the access of parents in children’s hobbies. With regard to club use, it is the responsibility of each club to ensure that their participants over the age of 16 have a covid passport.

The passport cannot be used in facilities that are deemed essential to everyday life or legal rights. Because of this, for example libraries and youth facilities will not require the passports, with the exception of public events held in these facilities with an attendance of over 20 people. The passports will be required in these events from everyone over the age of 16. In these events the staff of libraries and youth services will check for passports. Organizers will be responsible to check for passports in all events that take place in rented city facilities.

Covid certificate acts as the Covid-passport and it is available from Omakanta-service, omakanta.fi. It a person is unable to acquire the passport from Omakanta or there is an error in the information of the certificate, they can contact Rauma healthcare services number 044 403 2625 from 8 AM to 10 AM on weekdays.
