No new infections diagnosed at Saga Kanalinranta

The City of Rauma reported Covid infections at sheltered housing service Saga Kanalinranta on Saturday 13 February and on Sunday 14 February. After the six infections reported earlier, no new infections have been diagnosed. All employees and residents have been tested.

Of the six infections, one was an employee and five were residents. The source of the infection is known. Seven employees and all of the residents are considered exposed. They have been placed under quarantine until 28 February. Care of the residents is secured by sufficient personnel sizing.

A temporary visiting ban has been imposed on the housing service until 28 February.

The incubation period for Covid-19 is usually 4 to 5 days, but can vary from 1 to 14. If the exposed person displays even mild symptoms, such as runny nose, cough, sore throat, fever, loss of taste or smell or diarrhea in some cases, they must be tested immediately.
