The yellow sunflowers and blue lacy phacelias in the flower fields are about to open into full bloom. People are now allowed to collect flowers from the field for their own use.
This summer, flower fields have been planted in a familiar place along Pyynpäänkatu, and for the first time also in the former flower nursery area of the city garden at the intersection of Äyhönjärventie and Lensunkatu.
The flowers open gradually, so they should be collected sparingly so that others have something to pick. You have to walk carefully in the field, without trampling the flowers.
To collect the flowers, you should bring a sharp knife or small garden shears.
