Gates will be installed on the piers of Rauma’s Syvärauma marina during the current year. The installation of the gates on the Kouluranta piers is already underway and should be completed in March. The gates on the Suvitie side will be installed after the boating season in the autumn. Gates will also be installed at other marinas in the city in the future.
– No decision has yet been taken on the installation of the gates at the Syvärauma pool area. Gating the pool is more difficult to implement because there are so many access points to the area. However, the matter is under consideration, says Pekka Yli-Kauhaluoma, Operations Manager.
Those who have bought a berth will receive a key to their own dock gate for a deposit of €50. The key can be collected from Service Point Pyyrman. The deposit is refunded when the rental of the berth is not renewed and the key is returned to Pyyrman.
The city is currently running a period of rebooking of boat berths until 3 April. Unless the berth contract is renewed, the berth will become available for general booking on Wednesday 3 April at 10 a.m. At the beginning of the rebooking period, all berths that were available last year will also become available for booking. The general booking period starts on 3 April at 10 a.m. and ends on 31 December at 4 p.m.
The rebooking period for land berths is 19 January to 26 April and the general booking period is 26 April to 31 December. If the place contract is not renewed, the place becomes available for general booking on 26 April.
