Rauma is back in the acceleration stage of the covid-epidemic. Satakunta regional infectious disease prevention team recommends expanding the face mask recommendation to 6th graders and further limit the number of customers in public indoor areas. The new guidelines are valid until 28 February.

Number of customers in public indoor areas is still limited

Satakunta regional infectious disease prevention team states that the risk of Rauma moving into the spreading stage of the epidemic is considerable, and attendance in public indoor areas must be limited by half or alternatively be closed altogether.

The city has preventatively limited attendance since last fall. Libraries, museums nad the swimming hall will remain open, but attendance can be limited during peak hours. The city follows guidelines given by the regional team and may assess the limitations again as the situation develops.

A new system to limit the attendance in the swimming hall is being prepared, which will be announced in more detail next week. Customers should prepare themselves that they might not able to go in the swimming hall during peak hours.

In addition, the regional team recommends extending the restrictions to public areas of shopping malls, among others. The city reminds that shops, cafes, restaurants and workplaces must also follow safe distances and mask guidelines.

Mask recommendation applies to all 6th graders

The regional team recommends that all 6th graders use masks from 2 February onward. This also applies to pupils in combined 5th-6th grade classes. More information will be given to guardians via Wilma. Extended mask recommendation in basic education is in effect until 28 February.Rauma Lyseo upper secondary school will move to distance learning from 11 February to 28 February.

Third section exam week will be held in Lyseo facilities 2-10 February so that the students will take their exams in two parts. Some in the morning and some in the afternoon.

Distance learning aims to ensure that matriculation examinations can be taken normally. However, preparatory teaching in Lyseo remains in contact teaching.

Limitations on hobby activities will continue

Limitations on hobby activities will be in effect until 28 February. Competitions, match and league activities indoors remain stopped. Training for people under the age of 20 must follow regulations and guidelines and maintain social distancing. It must happen on scheduled appointments and without close contact. Training may take advantage of outdoor spaces. Guardians must wear face masks when picking up their children from the facilities.

Coaching in teams sports must take into account that close contact even within the team is prohibited. This means that practice games are also prohibited.
The city will cancel all reservations to it’s facilities if teams do not adhere to the limitations.

Sporting events or competitions should not be held. This applies to all individual and team sports both indoors and outdoors.

The restriction does not apply to national team activities or professional training at an international level or competitive activity on national or first division level.

Adult hobbies are recommended to be held online. Group activities can be done in groups of maximum of ten people, if masks are used and safe distances can be held.

The culture department does not reserve it’s facilities to outsiders at this time.

Private events held indoors are still limited to ten people.

Working from home is recommended whenever possible.
