A summer festival, Sunset Festival, will take place in Rauma on August 23rd–24th, 2024. Organized at the Otanlahti beach, the festival is hosted by United Festivals Oy, known for organizing Turku’s Down By The Laituri festival.
Performing in Rauma will be artists such as KUUMAA, Bess, Sanni, Abreu, and Arttu Wiskari, along with several other top Finnish performers.
– At Sunset Festival, there will be artists catering to various tastes. We believe that the attitude of our partygoers is a more important factor than age. The end of August is a fantastic time for festivals, as the evenings start to darken but it’s still warm, says Henri Kulmala, Chairman of the Board of United Festivals Oy.
The event expects 3000-5000 visitors each day. The event venue is by the beach, but due to technical and equipment needs, there might be some traffic arrangements during the event. Information regarding traffic arrangements will be provided closer to the event. The music will end at 1 am on both days.
According to Museum and Culture Director Risto Kupari, the new summer festival is an excellent addition to the city’s event offerings.
– As per the city’s strategy, we aim to develop Rauma as an eventful city. Sunset Festival complements the late summer well in terms of music events, says Kupari.
