In cooperation with Rauman Latu, the City of Rauma organises the Kanali ympär event on Friday 10 May. The event involves walking around the Kanali together with the city’s management. A similar walking event was organised for the first time in October 2023.
The total length of the walk is 3.2 kilometres. You can star the run at two different departure times, either at 3 PM or at 4 PM. The starting point is in front of the City Hall at Kanalinranta 3.
Sausages, coffee and juice are also available for those who have completed the walk. The coffee ticket is available on the middle of the walk, where there is also a pause exercise organised by Rauman Latu.
– The aim of the event is to increase everyday physical activity, community spirit and participation. We want to invite everyone in the municipality to join us for a joint walk, says Kristiina Kuusio, Head of Welfare.
The Kanali ympär event is part of the City of Rauma’s well-being programme. The aim of the programme is to strengthen the functional capacity, mobility and mental well-being of residents, especially children, young people and families with children.
