The revamped Rauman Gyyt -public transit has increased user numbers. During the forst two months of the year approximately 31 000 trips were taken with Rauman Gyyt. The number of trips from the same time last year was about 24 300.
– Behind the increase is the launch of Rauman Gyyt in the beginning of the year, which brought with it more densely operated routes and extended operating hours. In January we also held a discount campaign that offered 30-day bus passes at half price. The goal of the campaign was to entice more first-time users to try the public transportation in Rauma, transport planner Mikael Saive says.
Rauman Gyyt routes, timetables, tickets and webstore can be found at www.rauma.fi/rauman-gyyt. An online route planner opas.matka.fi is also in use. It can be used to check bus schedules with stops and routes. It also shows the real-time location of the chosen bus.
