Covid-vaccinations organized by Rauma health care services will move to Steniuksenkatu 2 beginning from Monday 23 August. All those whose second dose is booked at Kauppis, will receive their second dose at the health care services facility at Steniuksenkatu from next week onward.
Vaccinations are given at the bottom floor in department T0, which is accessed from the lower door at the Kaunisjärvenkatu side. When arriving to the appointment people should follow the signs for Covid-testing. There will also be personnel guiding people coming in for the vaccination.
– The location is changing because the university will need the facilities and parking lot of Kauppis for their own use. Department T0 was available and it has the necessary internet connections ready, head nurse Marja Lehtimäki says.
Parking is allotted to the people getting the vaccines in the backyard. It is recommended that people arrive at the location near their appointment time so that the parking lot and the waiting area won’t get too crowded.
– We hope that people move carefully in the yard and drive slowly. Traffic will increase at the premises and there is no way to stop traffic between people coming for the test and people coming for the vaccines, Lehtimäki says.
First vaccine-doses available without appointments on 26 August
On week 34, 23rd to 29th of August, only first doses of the vaccine are available. They are available without appointments only on Thursday 26 August from 10 AM to 6 PM. The vaccinatios are at Steniuksenkatu, department T0. The event is meant primarily to students, but vaccines are also given to everyone over 15 years of age.
– All other days vaccines are given as second doses, Lehtimäki says.
Vaccinations for children 12-15 years of age will continue at schools next week.
