The City of Rauma will open International House Rauma service point for international residents and companies interested in international recruitment.

– The need for the service point has arisen from the mapping done about the needs of local businesses, international students, work-related immigrants, and their families, internationality coordinator Mia-Maria Mattila says.

International House Rauma guides and instructs immigrants both arriving or already living in the country, in matters such as settling in and finding employment or education. The service point is also responsible for the municipality’s statutory integration services.

– We aim to agilely serve companies interested in international recruitment and to link experts and companies together. We hope that International House would be a place that is easy to contact or visit and that it would serve as a meeting point of sorts in the future. The service point connects strongly to the city’s new strategy. Being a draw for international talents is very important to the economic life in the region, director of city development Satu Saarinen says.

International House Rauma is located connected to the city’s service point Pyyrman in Valtakatu 2 A. It has been designed together with ELY Centre, TE services, Rauma Chamber of Commerce, Eures, and local businesses.
