The city of Rauma is renovating its website during the spring. The entirety includes Rauma.fi and Visitrauma.fi. The new websites are scheduled to be launched before Midsummer.
– The extensive project was undertaken for technical reasons. The WordPress publishing platform currently used by the city is no longer being developed and does not meet all the technical requirements of the websites, communications manager Raija Lehtorinne explains.
The city of Rauma’s website currently consists of two main sites and several separate pages. The separate pages will be integrated into the Rauma.fi and Visitrauma.fi sites.
– The city is getting modern, up-to-date websites that serve citizens and other target groups even better. A new event calendar is also coming, and it will be launched in early summer. More detailed information about the event calendar renovation will be provided separately, Lehtorinne says.
The upcoming websites have been planned since last autumn in collaboration with various departments and units of the city. The website renovation project team includes representatives from communication and marketing services, tourism services, information technology, and administrative management.
