The visual look of the Rauma christmas town conveys the atmosphere of a lace town

The visual identity for the Rauma Christmas Town project was published in events held for local operators on Wednesday 15 September. The main elements in the identity are the main Raumlaine Joul -icon with it’s english counterpart Christmas in Rauma, as well as the delicate lace snow stars and a playful Christmas town illustration, which can be used separately or together. The identity has been deigned by Ping Helsinki Oy.

– We are proud to finally be able to present the unique, identifiable and unified graphic look of Rauma’s Christmas. The look offers innumerable implementation options for all of us from Rauma, says Satu Saarinen, Director of Development leading the Christmas project.

The identity is available free of charge to all those who carry out events and happenings for Christmas in Rauma. Files and instructions can be downloaded from the city’s image bank at rauma.kuvat.fi.

A wide range of programs are being prepared

– Traditionally, Rauma has organized a lot of nice Christmas events. We hope that local associations, clubs, organizations, companies and individuals will get involved this year as well. In addition, the city has prepared its own Christmas happenings to add interesting content to the anticipation of Christmas. We have several top professionals as our partners, says Satu Saarinen.

The narrowest street in Finland Kitukränn will transform into the smallest Christmas street in Finland. A light and sound installation is designed by a local artist Jaakko Niemelä. The installation will be published on Finnish Independence Day 6 December.

A Christmas Land will be built in Poselli for children and the child-minded. The Christmas Land will be open from the 7th to 19th of December and will feature lots of elves and other nice things to experience.

A Christmas spectacle is also being prepared for 2022. It will be a grand musical play that will spread widely in the Old Rauma area. The composition for the spectacle has been comissioned from composer-musician Lasse Heikkilä.

Program search in progress 15.9. – 17.10.

A search will be launched for the organizers of Christmas events and other content producers to collect information on the events that will be held in Rauma in October-January.

An online form has been opened for program search, through which the organizers can submit their own programs.

Program information collected through the search is marketed on the city’s website and event calendar. In addition, the information is utilized in customer service situations and marketing.
