Family day care

Family day care is early childhood education provided by a childminder who works for the city of Rauma in her own home. In family day care  there can be a maximum of 4  children, including the childminder´s own children. In Rauma, there are 17 municipal family day care providers.

In family day care, the childminders weekly working hours average around 40 hours. The childminders work schedule is determined based on the children’s early education times.

Family day care emphasizes a nurturing environment, play, and individualized attention for each child. It provides a cozy and home-like setting where children can learn and grow together.
