Shift day care in round-the-clock daycare centre

Shift day care, also known as evening, night, and weekend care, is provided for children whose parents have regular shift work or evening studies. If the need for shift day care is minimal, the child’s early education is arranged in a regular daycare center or family daycare, with shift care available as needed in shift daycare center.

To qualify for a shift daycare need, both parents must present proof of their shift work from their employer or evidence of evening and/or weekend studies from their educational institution.

In Rauma, shift  day care services are centralized in Papinpellon vuoropäiväkoti. Additionally, päiväkoti Myllytonttu in Lappi offers morning and evening care from Monday to Friday, between 5:30 AM and 10:30 PM.
