The City of Rauma’s Regional Services Construction and Planning Unit is responsible for drawing up the city’s road plans. The plans are drawn up in accordance with the annual budget.

Citizens have the opportunity to participate in the preparation of the street and public area plans during the preparation and public consultation phase. The plans are available for consultation at the City’s service point in Pyyrmann and on the City’s website via the electronic bulletin board.

The first opportunity to participate in the preparation of a street plan is when the planning process begins and the street plan is announced as being in preparation. There is a two-week period for submitting comments on the draft plan (for all residents).

Once the plan has been prepared, a draft road plan will be drawn up. The plan will set out the principles of traffic management, drainage, street heights, paving materials, planting where necessary and permanent structures and equipment.

When the City of Rauma Technical Committee decides to make the draft street plan available to the public, the residents adjacent to the planning area will be given the opportunity to submit comments on the draft plan. The final street plan will then be approved by the Technical Committee.
